Rivet nut is a kind of fastener specially used in the field of fastening thin plates and tubes. It is fastened to the work piece by riveting without the need to pre-machine threaded holes, and is deformed by a special tool that deforms one end of the Rivet Nut so that it is tightly bonded to the work piece for fastening purposes. It combines the functions of a rivet and a nut, which are pressed into the material by means of a specialized installation tool to form a strong and durable joint. Rivet nuts are particularly suitable for applications that require installation from one side and provide internal threads to accept screws or other fasteners.
