Products Description

A knurled nut is a type of nut that is made by metalworking methods with a specific pattern on its surface. This design not only adds aesthetic appeal, but also provides extra grip, which enhances the tightening effect and anti-loosening performance of the nut. Knurling patterns are generally processed on the surface of the nut through the knurling process, and are available in various forms such as straight knurling and mesh knurling.

Product Features

Non-slip Grip

Straight / diamond knurled pattern significantly increases friction, enabling secure, slip-free hand-tightening even in oily environments, no additional tools required.

01

Tool-Free Installation

Designed for frequent assembly, disassembly, and fine-tuning, enabling efficient setup and removal. Ideal for low-torque applications requiring quick access and maintenance.

02

Multi-Material Compatibility

Available in stainless steel, carbon steel with various plating options, offering excellent corrosion and wear resistance. Suitable for indoor, outdoor, and humid working conditions.

03

Precision Threading

High-precision thread manufacturing (tolerance up to 6H) ensures smooth engagement and consistent clamping force, preventing loosening under minor vibration.

04

Safety Design

Smooth, burr-free edges prevent hand injuries; flange / extended types evenly distribute pressure to protect soft workpiece surfaces.

FAQ

product-470-408

01.Are knurled nuts reusable?

Yes, if not over-torqued or damaged. The knurl pattern and threads remain intact with proper hand use. Replace only if threads strip or knurls wear smooth.

02.Can I use pliers/wrench on a knurled nut?

Not recommended. Pliers will mar the knurl finish, damage threads, or over-torque and crack the nut. If tool torque is needed, use a standard hex nut instead.

03.Are knurling patterns permanent?

Yes. Knurling is a material-removal machining process (cutting ridges into the nut's surface). The pattern is integral to the nut and cannot be removed without damaging the part.
