Determine installation location
Usually installed between the bolt head or nut and the connected part, ensuring that the washer completely covers the contact area of the connected part.
Installation sequence
The general sequence is: bolt through the hole of the connected part → place the flat washer (tightly attached to the connected part) → tighten the nut → tighten.
Special case: If both sides of the connected component require protection (such as thin steel plates), a flat washer can be placed on each side of the bolt head and nut.
Tightening operation
Use a wrench or screwdriver to gradually tighten diagonally (for scenarios with multiple bolts) to avoid uneven force that may cause deformation of the parts.
The tightening torque should meet the design requirements (refer to the mechanical manual or manufacturer's recommendations). If it is too loose, it is easy to loosen, and if it is too tight, it may damage the gasket or parts.
